If you are planning on having an elective surgery in Summer 2020, you may benefit from a “Prehab” program NOW…
With most people staying at home over the past 1-2 months, it’s been difficult to remain active. When you are dealing with a painful condition, unfortunately, this inactivity can result in even more stiffness, pain, and weakness. When planning to have surgery, this can inhibit post-surgical healing and even prolong your recovery after the surgery.
That’s why we recommend asking your doctor if you would benefit from attending physical therapy BEFORE you have surgery. We call this “Prehab”…and we highly recommend considering it if you’re planning to have surgery in the coming months. At Harrison PT, we can develop a plan which can help decrease pain, improve range of motion, and increase strength in order to promote ideal healing after surgery!
To schedule an evaluation and begin a “prehab” program before your surgery is scheduled, please call our office at (845)896-3750 or simply fill out the form below with your contact information and someone will get back to you ASAP to schedule your appointment!
